March 5th 2012 Back on board

Today we travelled north to go back on board Shell Bell for a few days.   It was a good journey but the weather when we left East Anglia was awful, very heavy rain, but by the time we reached Kettering the skies were clear and it was quite bright. The plan is to start work sanding down and re-painting the gunnels, but we must travel back on Thursday as we another commitment on Friday. Today we arrived after lunch and  set about topping the water tank and lighting the fire so the boat at least is warm and cosy.
